Axel Fabre was born in Puerto Rico, and started to work in the art field as a dancer in the Dance Company Ballet Folklórico of Caguas (2000), where he also learned the art of stage makeup. During that time he started his bachelor degree at University of Puerto Rico in Cayey in the Accounting (2001). But accounting wasn’t his real passion, it was beauty. He then began studying cosmetology, esthetics, makeup, nail tech, advance cosmetology and barber at Rogies School of Beauty Culture, San Juan PR (2006-2010), and TIGI (2012).
The first 8 years of Axel's career were in Puerto Rico. During that time, he had the opportunity to work in each field with renowned brands like Elizabeth Arden, Lancome, Estee Lauder, Zen Spa, Bloom Salon-Official Salon Miss Universe Puerto Rico, and Beyond Salon.
In 2012, Axel moved to New York City to focus his career in the hair industry, and had the opportunity to work at Edris Salon-Top 100 Salon by ELLE Magazine (2012-2013), a salon specializing in African-American hair, Jean-Claude Biguine (2014) French techniques, and Dueto Salon (2015). He then expanded his hair color knowledge with Wella Studio NYC where he became a Certified Master Color Expert. After he finished his certification, he moved to Muze Salon (2016) to gain more knowledge in cuts, but specially in color by his mentor, Alexandra Matiz (WELLA Global Artist).
